Red Dragon is famously the first tribe of the Tzolkin, an homage to the great, original mother – the oceanic expanse all primordial life emerged from, the feminine divine that continues to shelter us in her sacred waters. In the lap of the great mother – earth, ocean or an effluvial volcano – we feel tenderly held and fed, safe and met in our physical and emotional hungers. In Red Dragon, the divine feminine surrounds us, gracing us with her leviathan presence, making us small by comparison so we can fall into her for protection and warmth.
