The second tone is named for the polarity represented by the phases of the moon. Lunar energy is dark and light, shadows and illumination. It’s helpful to think of our moon, which seems to disappear first halfway, then in entirety, as it moves from full to new. In actuality, the orb itself is still entirely present through all its phases. Its reflection of the sun is the only thing that changes.

Our perceptions of ourselves and our experiences operate by this metaphor. On Lunar days, we get to identify the difference between what we already understand about ourselves and what is still surfacing from darkness. The evolving wavespell will let what has been unconscious rise to consciousness. Like the moon, we have phases of turning our face directly from the sun, and pulling away from its radiance.
