A primal memory today of 9/11 which was also Blue Self-Existing Monkey and makes this energy an indelible quandary - how do monkey magic and play align with one of our Western world's largest televised traumas? The Blue Monkey essence is play, as in theatre, make believe and all the stage dressing that stirs our imagination. We fall out of seriousness into humor, out of darkness into delight. We can feel that life as a human on earth is primal in this way - more of a game, with roller coaster loop-de-loops and hide and seek with our most treasured beloveds. than a grown up venture.

When we can take Blue Monkey as a call to devolve back to simpler pleasures and both remove veils as well as try on different visages, costumes - hiding then bursting out of a hat, out of flames of fire - then we can feel the true magic of this moment. And 9/11 - within the horror - had this to teach us, that in most playground games, we all fall down. Grounded, splayed into each other, joy and laughter offset our bumps and bruises.
