White Rhythmic Wizard Year

The new 13 Moon year always arrives on July 26 of the Gregorian calendar, tracked by the Maya to coincide with the rise of Sirius, the Dogstar, with the sun at dawn. The new year is named for its first day on the Tzolkin, and so we enter White Rhythmic Wizard, a year to balance being receptive to enchantment and extending ourselves to others in a celebration of timelessness – the undoing of linear, digital time.

Follow the Natural Time year through its interwoven Tzolkin days, chakra spirals and deep 13 Moon wavespell arc. As Jose Arguelles, original mystic to the modernized Mayan calendar, described: Time is Art. This calendar introduces the primary rhythms of Natural Time through beauty and poetry. Collage art by Lisa Star; verses from Rumi, Mary Oliver, William Blake and more.

The Natural Time calendar is an ideal entry portal into the enchantment of wavespell flow, the sacred Mayan day names, the four directions of growth and perfect harmony, and the way time lives in and through our bodies. Authentic Mayan mythology is offered alongside Arguelles’ channeled Dreamspell, each inviting our own connection to a calendar of rhythm, integrity and true reflection of nature’s cycles.

This year’s calendar has a two-page spread for each moon as well as twelve information pages to help understand the Tzolkin rhythms, the Mayan origins, this year’s energy, and your own birth through Natural Time.

For those who purchased the Red Overtone Moon year Natural Time calendar, this edition is retooled for easier reading, and includes two new pages with microcosmic descriptions of the 13 Tones and 20 Tribes to help understand yourself and your loved ones.

The Tzolkin Daybook:

The Only Exclusively Tzolkin Calendar Available

Commit your time-tracking to the Tzolkin sacred count. Make appointments and notes of the synchronicities you encounter as you move through the 260-day cycle that chronicles the gestation of all your creative endeavors from conception to birth.

Emerging through Emergence

The new Tzolkin spin arrives auspiciously, even fearsomely, on 9/11/11. As we globally encounter more and more intensity, be it economic or seismic or in matters closest to our hearts, we can choose to see the act of emergence – the beginning and birth – in all calamities we witness around us and face in ourselves. Use the Tzolkin’s daily reverence for nature – and the rolling arc of growth each wavespell illuminates – for support in the birth pain that may accompany our deeply changing times.

A limited edition by Lisa Star, The Tzolkin Daybook includes 84 pages (8.5 x 5.5 in.) of writings on each wavespell and color plates for tracking them. It is powerful to write notes for one’s experience of each day to remember next Tzolkin cycle when encountering similar energy – and an incredible way to deepen one’s understanding of the wavespells. The Tzolkin Daybook is also a substitution for our Gregorian planners, to be used for appointments and our obligations in the everyday world, infusing ‘reality’ with the Dreamtime images of the Mayan sacred count.

Designed for the seasoned Natural Time traveler, but also ideal for those who want to jump in deeply and ride the waves to new illumination.

From Lisa: My years of self-study of these rhythms began by writing several sentences about the day before I went to sleep. I never had any other teacher besides calendars and my own reverie. The Tzolkin Daybook is for you to invite your own awakenings and amazement for the Tzolkin’s shamanic teaching. As Jose Arguelles translated Zuvuya: everything that has been unconscious is becoming conscious.
